Dallas' Briggs Freeman real estate sale firm joins effort to sell ...

Briggs Freeman will be marketing units in the downtown building.

?

Dallas real estate agents for deluxe homes Briggs Freeman Sotheby?s International Realty has joined the team trying to sell the new Museum Tower in downtown Dallas.

The 42-story luxury high-rise in the Arts District is the building that?s gotten all those bad headlines recently about reflections off the mirrored glass.

?Partnering with Robbie Briggs and his Briggs Freeman Sotheby?s International Realty team is part of a natural transition that dramatically expands the capabilities of our in-house sales team as we enter the phase to generate the majority of our sales,? Steve Sandborg, vice president of sales and marketing for Museum Tower said.

Briggs Freeman has already handled several sales in the building, Sandborg said. And Museum Tower?s current sales team will stay on staff to help with the marketing efforts.

Current estimates are that about a dozen of the 115 units in the condominium tower have actually sold at prices starting over $1 million.

Briggs Freeman is one of the biggest residential firms that sells houses in affluent neighborhoods in the Park Cities and North Dallas. These are the prime markets where Museum Tower developers hope to find buyers.

Museum Tower has been embroiled in a nasty public battle for months with its neighbor, the Nasher Sculpture Center. The museum has charged that light reflected off the new residential tower is harming its collections.

The $200 million Museum Tower is owned by?the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System, and was just completed.
