Budweiser announced the launch of the 2013?Budweiser Cup, its global 6v6 football tournament.? Teams around the world will compete in a series of six-a-side matches for the chance to represent their country at the global tournament championships, to be held in London, England on May 9-12, 2013.
This year?s tournament will be the eighth held by the brand.? The 2013 finals will be held in London at Vale Farm, home of Wembley FC, the team brought to global prominence from their role in the recent docu-series,?Dream on. The Journey of Wembley FC.? The first Budweiser Cup finals were held at Incheon Munhak Stadium in South Korea when the country played host to the 2002 FIFA World Cup?.? Later, the finals were held at Cologne Stadium in Germany (2006), the UK?s iconic Old Trafford (2007, 2008, 2009),?Loftus Versfeld?Stadium in South Africa (2010) and in 2011 at the legendary Wembley Stadium in the UK.
This year, teams from eight countries including Argentina, Chile, India, Malaysia, Ukraine, UK, USA and Vietnam will meet in London to compete for the title of Budweiser Cup Champions 2013. Global tournament competitors will also attend the 2013 FA Cup Final on May 11.

India last participated in the Budweiser Cup in 2009, when 224 teams from across the country competed for the chance to represent India against 14 other countries at the finals held at Old Trafford.? .

The Budweiser Cup India 2013 will be held across 3 regions (South, West and North India) in the cities of New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. The dates for the city tournaments are 9th?and 10th?March (New Delhi), 17th, 23rdand 24th?March (Mumbai) and 17th?and 24th?March (Bangalore). Winners and runners-up from each city will participate in the National Finals to be held in New Delhi to determine the Budweiser 6v6 Cup 2013 champions.?The championship team will receive a trip to London to represent India in the?Budweiser 6v6 Cup London 2013.Registrations for the regional legs are open and teams interested in participating can register online by logging onto?www.budweiser6v6cup.in.
Participants in the international finals will experience the comforts that go along with being footballing superstars, including round-trip airfare to England, first-class hotel accommodations and tickets to the 2013 FA Cup Finals.
